Books like The red horseman by Stephen Coonts

When the Soviet Union’s infrastructure collapses, a cache of 20,000 tactical nuclear weapons becomes vulnerable. Rear Admiral Jake Grafton, stationed with the Defense Intelligence Agency, is tasked with ensuring their destruction before they can be trafficked to terrorist groups. As Grafton probes deeper, he discovers hostile forces within his own government intent on sabotaging the mission. Simultaneously, a British media magnate’s mysterious death off the Canary Islands throws another layer of danger into the story. Misinformation in the headlines masks a CIA‑coordinated hit, and the evidence implicating Israeli Mossad puts Grafton and his family at immediate risk. With international tensions soaring and a potential Middle East conflict looming, Grafton must navigate shifting loyalties, protect his loved ones, and prevent a nuclear catastrophe that could ignite global war.
