Books like Out of the Mist by Sara Orwig

After a brief but unforgettable encounter with Ken Holloway, Millie Blake never expected to see him again -- certainly not taking refuge inside her hall closet! Mistakenly suspected of a crime, Ken swore that it wasn't true, and Millie couldn't help but believe him. He'd slipped inside her house without warning and stormed her senses with eyes that smoldered just for her, and lips that murmured her name in the wild heat of passion. Millie blossomed in Ken's unyielding embrace, knowing for the first time the joy of being treasured by a man, but her worldly lover also yearned... for a woman who'd cherish him. As a child Ken had known the terrible pain of being unwanted, never belonging to anyone... and never believing he was worthy of love. Success and wealth were small comfort as he traveled the world in search of a place that was truly his, now that Millie had made a home for him in her loving arms, could he persuade her that his dreams had become hers, just as he had?
