Books like Dragon keeper by Robin Hobb

Robin Hobb returns to the world of the Liveship Traders with a story that blends dragons, human determination, and survival. When the trader cities once again face threat, they turn to the dragons, including Tintaglia, for aid. After a long exile, the traders agree to help newly hatched dragons migrate up the Rain Wild River to a safe haven. The dragons, however, are weak and unable to use their wings, making them vulnerable to predators seeking the rumored healing powers of dragon flesh. As the traders grow weary and the dragons recede, a desperate plan emerges: move the fragile creatures further up the river toward Kelsingra, their mythical homeland hidden in ancestral memory. To ensure a safe passage, the traders enlist a group of young people, among them Thymara, an unwalled forest girl who can instinctively communicate with dragons, and Alise, a trader’s wife with a passion for dragon lore. Together, they embark on a dangerous journey along the toxic and unforgiving Rain Wild River, facing hardship, betrayal, and moments of wonder as they learn more about themselves and each other while striving to survive and protect the dragons.
