Books like Mercury Falls by Robert Kroese

Christine Temetri, a seasoned reporter for The Banner who has spent years profiling End Times cults, is exhausted by the relentless turbulence of the religious world. Her routine is upended when she encounters Mercury, an angsty angel who prefers making Rice Krispy Treats and improving his ping‑pong backhand over conducting celestial operations. As the Apocalypse inches closer and celestial beings squabble over the finer points of the end, Christine and Mercury inadvertently thwart an assassination plot against Karl Grissom, a thirty‑seven‑year‑old film school dropout poised to become the Antichrist. With the fate of humanity dangling, Christine must navigate the labyrinthine hierarchy of Heaven and Hell, persuade the disengaged Mercury to take action, and survive the abrasive presence of the rise‑to‑power Antichrist.
