Books like The last time I lied by Riley Sager

Two truths and a lie haunted the cabin games of Vivian, Natalie, Allison, and first‑time camper Emma Davis at Camp Nightingale. That night, Emma watched the others slip out into the dark; the last to see them was Vivian, who shut the door behind her, demanding silence. Years later, Emma’s haunting portraits of blackened leaves and ghostly figures caught the eye of Francesca Harris‑White, the wealthy owner of the camp. She urged Emma to return as a painting instructor, offering a chance to learn what truly happened to her friends. Back at Nightingale, familiar cabins and a dark lake linger, while a single security camera points at the very rear door of Emma’s former cabin. Cryptic clues left by Vivian about the camp’s twisted origins emerge, forcing Emma to sort through lies and face threats that jeopardize her present. The deeper she digs, the more she realizes that the closure she seeks may come at a deadly price.
