Books like Queen of hearts by Rhys Bowen

Lady Georgiana Rannoch, the thirty‑fifth in line for the British crown, leaves palace life for a Hollywood adventure where she must use her sleuthing skills to stay alive. Her mother, a once‑glamorous and popular actress, is on the brink of a wedding and a Reno divorce, prompting Georgiana to accompany her across the Atlantic. In the glittering film world, the mother’s new beau, producer Cy Goldman, insists on casting her in his latest picture, drawing them into the glitter and danger of a secret jewel‑theft investigation. With a dashing beau named Darcy as the lead investigator, the pair confront Hollywood’s high‑profile suspects—including icons like Charlie Chaplin—only to have Cy Goldman become a murder victim amid the backdrop of Hollywood intrigue. All the while, Georgiana must protect her family and solve the mystery before their lives become cinema’s sad headline.
