Books like Elite by Rachel Van Dyken

Tracey Rooks has always known what simple farm life looks like under the watch of her grandparents. When her grandmother dies, Tracie becomes the sole responsibility of her grandfather, and she sees an opportunity to change their future: the annual scholarship lottery at Eagle Elite University. She enters with modest hopes, only to learn she has won. Life at Eagle Elite is unlike anything she has ever imagined. The student body is full of bright talents and unusual classmates, yet a subset—known as The Elect—adopt a strict code: do not touch, look, or speak to them. Their presence surrounds Tracie, making it nearly impossible to ignore them. As she manipulates the rules, she uncovers why the Elect’s ruthless strategy involves keeping enemies even closer. Tracie must navigate this fraught environment before she realizes she has become the very enemy they fear.
