Books like Unchained Lightning by Patricia Potter

Renata Parkhurst runs to her cousin's Colorado homestead in search of romance, only to meet the wounded rancher Jake Wolfe—shockingly a man rumored to be a cold‑blooded murderer.

She was his cousin's beautiful widow, an enchantress with topaz eyes - and Linc Sinclair knew instantly she was all he ever wanted. Heat and desire had come up as suddenly as a summer storm, and his turbulent soul demanded he possess Toni Sinclair - her lips, her body, and her heart. Toni was full of want, doubts, and needs, but her renegade responses to Linc's wild, hot kisses terrified her. Kyle had hated his family, especially Linc, and Toni had only come to Fairview to arrange the sale of his family home - how could she tarnish his memory by surrendering to his enemy? But Linc was nothing like the man her husband had described - was it possible that Kyle had chosen to run instead of fighting for the life he wanted? When the evidence against Linc seemed undeniable, Toni was ready to pack her bags and leave, but she was torn by indecision: should she believe the letter of the man she'd lost, or the word of the complex man she'd grown to love?
