Emily Saunders, a dedicated massage therapist, finds herself double‑booked in a single hotel room in Elk Crossing, Idaho, while attending a family wedding. The room is shared with Jonah Betts, a striking police officer who is competing in a local hockey tournament. What starts as a professional arrangement soon turns into a prickling attraction as Emily’s skills and Jonah’s rugged athleticism cross paths. Jonah, already stumped by the clash of his work, family drama, and an unexpected intimate game, must decide whether to play along with Emily’s unplanned visit—or to call a time‑out on their fantasies. The story follows their evolving dynamic, set against the backdrop of a small Idaho town, a wedding, and the world of hockey. The novel blends contemporary romance with elements of police life, massage therapy, and hockey culture, delivering a brisk tale of temptation, miscommunication, and the search for genuine connection.
