Books like Noodle by Munro Leaf
Noodle is a dachshund whose body stretches long from front to back but stays very short from top to bottom, making ordinary tasks like digging for bones a challenge. One day he discovers a wishbone and a whimsical dog‑fairy appears, offering to grant a wish. "What size and shape do you want to be?" the fairy asks. Noodle seeks counsel from the animals at the zoo, only to realize that his distinct shape is exactly what makes him perfect.
