Books like Planet X by Michael Jan Friedman
Planet Xhaldia is a world in crisis: its inhabitants are undergoing rapid mutation, gaining extraordinary powers while society fractures around fear and prejudice. To address the escalating danger, Captain Picard and the crew of the Starship Enterprise are dispatched to the planet. There they encounter the X-Men, a group of mutant heroes from another reality. Storm leads the team in helping resolve a conflict eerily similar to the human‑mutant tensions familiar to both groups. When hostile aliens orbit Xhaldia, intent on capturing the transformed for use as superpowered weapons, the combined forces of Starfleet and the X-Men must wade through conflict, politics, and peril to save the Xhaldan people and prevent a catastrophic attack on the Federation.
