Books like Powerless by Matthew Cody

When Daniel moves to a new town in Pennsylvania, he discovers that his new friends are a team of extraordinary children: one soars through the sky, another disappears in plain sight, while a third generates electricity. Together, they use their secret powers to protect their community, but a looming curse threatens to erase their abilities—and the memories of their heroics—when they reach thirteen. Determined to prevent this loss, the group pursues clues involving a long‑forgotten meteor strike, a World War II–era comic book titled "Fantastic Futures" starring the original superhero Johnny Noble, the fiery Witch Fire, and a concealed Shroud cave. Their journey blends supernatural adventure with comic‑book intrigue, culminating in a revelation about the true nature of heroism and the possibility that Daniel himself may hold the key to their future.
