Books like Total Surrender by Margaret Pargeter

Neale's life is shaken when her fiancé Tony fails to appear on the morning of their wedding, leaving her feeling vulnerable and unsettled. Her boss, the commanding luxury‑hotel developer Lawton Baillie, becomes an even more intense presence aboard his Caribbean yacht. Although Baillie revels in the chase, Neale instinctively senses that he demands nothing less than total surrender. Facing the possibility of a powerful, all‑consuming connection, Neale must decide whether the risk of love—either ecstasy or devastation—is worth the surrender. Guided by her own limits and the powerful attraction to Baillie, the novel explores themes of desire, vulnerability, and the cost of letting oneself be controlled by another, all set against the opulent backdrop of a luxury‑hotel development backdrop and a Caribbean yacht voyage.
