Books like Dancing With Dalton by Laura Marie Altom

Rose Vasquez grieves the death of her husband and makes the bold decision to relocate to the warm, welcoming town of Hot Pepper, Louisiana. She buys a dance studio for her daughter and finds herself renewed by the rhythm and community. Her latest student, Dalton Montgomery, a young banker groomed to take over his family's financial firm, is also preparing for the Miss Hot Pepper Pageant, where the tango could be his defining moment. Dalton’s connection to Rose deepens when his mentor’s daughter joins their dance circle, bringing new energy and attraction to the studio. With mutual respect blossoming, Dalton offers to partner with Rose in the pageant, and Rose considers opening her heart to a new love while balancing her role as a widow and mother. The story weaves themes of grief, second chances, family business responsibilities, and the vibrant culture of dance schools in a small Southern town, culminating in a shared exploration of romance and renewal.
