Books like Life by Keith Richards

In *Life*, Keith Richards gives a candid look at his journey from a young Chicago‑born guitarist obsessed with Chuck Berry, Muddy Waters, and the burgeoning blues scene to becoming a founding member of the Rolling Stones. Richards recounts the band's rise to fame, the camaraderie and conflicts with Mick Jagger and Brian Jones, the cultural upheavals of the 1960s, and the infamous drug busts that cemented his outlaw image. He reflects on key relationships—his romance with Anita Pallenberg, the loss of Jones, and later love for Patti Hansen—along with the challenges of fame, including legal battles, tax exile in France, and periods of isolation and addiction. The memoir also covers his personal life, solo projects, and the ongoing spirit of touring that defines his career. Richards’ voice remains unmistakably raw, offering readers an intimate portrait of a rock legend who has shaped the sound and attitude of popular music for decades.
