Books like Love Letters by Katie Fforde

Laura Horsley works in a bookshop on the brink of closing, a place she loves. In a spontaneous decision, she agrees to help organize a literary festival deep in the English countryside. The excitement quickly dissolves into anxiety when she realizes the true scope of the event. An innocent mistake leads the festival committee to believe Laura is a close personal friend of renowned author Dermot Flynn, a reclusive figure who has long been Laura’s silent obsession since university. Determined to prove herself, Laura travels to Ireland to persuade him to appear at the festival. She faces the reality that the author’s temperamental nature and crippling writer’s block are just as daunting as the logistical challenges of her task. Yet Dermot’s infuriating attraction to her adds a layer of personal risk: he sees her as another conquest, complicating both their worlds.
