Books like The Experiment by Katherine Applegate
When the alien Yeerks pursue a new pharmacological weapon designed to strip humans of their freedom, the Animorphs—children gifted with the power to transform into animals—confront a threat that extends far beyond simple oppression. In a microscopic showdown, the young protagonists fight not only to protect their own independence but to prove that human willpower can withstand even the most insidious external manipulation.
Set within the broader Animorphs universe, the story blends science‑fiction speculation with the series’ signature themes of metamorphosis and hidden alien influence. Readers learn that the battle for autonomy is as much about inner resolve as it is about defeating an extraterrestrial adversary.
