Books like Lovers by Judith Krantz

Judith Krantz’s *Lovers* continues the spirited saga of Gigi Orsini, now a copywriter at a bustling Los Angeles ad agency. Joined by art director David Melville, the office is led by the charismatic Archie Rourke and the sharp‑tongued Victoria Frost, daughter of the powerful Millicent Frost Caldwell. Gigi finds herself drawn to the strong Bostonian mall builder Ben Winthrop, while rivals—including David and film director Zach Nevsky—compete for her affection. Across town, Billy Winthrop and her husband Spider Elliott navigate their own adventures, and Gigi’s father, producer Vito Orsini, along with her best friend Sasha Nevsky, remain central to the story. Set against the backdrop of 1983–1984, the novel weaves romance, ambition, and the fast‑paced advertising industry into a richly detailed slice of life.
