Books like Carrot Cake Murder by Joanne Fluke

Hannah Swensen, owner of The Cookie Jar bakery, is juggling a busy baking schedule and her cat Moishe’s strange antics when the family reunion at the local pavilion takes an ominous turn. Lisa, Hannah’s business partner, is prepping for a big family gathering, and the surprise arrival of Uncle Gus—who has been missing for twenty‑five years—adds excitement. But the next morning, as the family gathers for a photo, Gus is missing and an ice pick is found in his chest by the pavilion’s bar. Hannah immediately takes the case, following a trail that leads to the bar where two slices of her famed carrot cake lie frosting‑side down on the floor. With the evidence pointing to her own bakery’s signature dessert, she must confront a long list of suspects—including family members, friends, and even her own business partners—to discover the truth before another slice of her cake becomes a source of deadly danger.
