Books like Old School by Jeff Kinney

In the tenth installment of the "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" series, Greg Heffley confronts a new challenge when his town voluntarily disconnects from modern technology, embracing an electronics‑free era. As he navigates this unexpected shift, Greg grapples with the newfound reliance on old‑fashioned tools and face‑to‑face interactions. The story follows his attempts to survive and thrive in a world devoid of laptops, phones, and other conveniences that he has grown accustomed to. Amid tension at home and in his relationships, Greg questions whether the old ways are truly better—and whether he can keep up when everything runs on analog energy. This humorous diary‑style narrative captures the mischievous and relatable moments typical of Jeff Kinney’s long‑running series, offering both a light‑hearted critique of modern dependence on electronics and a nostalgic look at simpler times.
