Books like Free Fall by Fern Michaels

The Sisterhood—loyal friends bound by shared tragedies—meet for the first time in a year at Myra Rutledge’s home in Virginia. Among them, Yoko Akia shares the devastating story of her mother, who was lured away by a wealthy man when she was only fifteen. The man’s promises of love turned into a life of horror and misery. Once united, the Sisterhood has previously exacted retribution on corrupt men. This time, however, their target is America’s favorite movie star—a brute who has cultivated a public image of being “Mister Perfect.” The group resolves to expose his true nature and hold him accountable. The novel explores themes of female friendship, vengeance, and the power of collective action as the Sisterhood confronts a seemingly untouchable pop star, showing that even the most powerful men can be brought to justice.
