Books like Milk in my coffee by Eric Jerome Dickey

Fresh out of a small town in Tennessee where racial lines still divide, Jordan Greene arrives in Manhattan to start a new life. He finds work on Wall Street, makes a loyal friend in Solomon, and enjoys the vibrant, relentless spirit of the city. Yet the distance growing between him and his girlfriend J'nette grows wider. Enter Kimberly Chavers, a bright, spirited Irish‑American artist with long red hair and a lighter complexion. Their instant attraction sparks a complicated romance, as Jordan, who proudly displays Malcolm X on his office wall, must confront the uneasy repercussions of interracial love. Kimberly has secrets and a past she cannot yet release, but both Jordan and her let their hearts guide them. Their journey forces them to face doubts from friends, family, and society as they grapple with the truth that will ultimately test the strength of their faith and the depth of their love.
