Books like Poison candy by Elizabeth Parker

In Poison Candy, former madam Dalia Dippolito is accused of conspiring with a hit man to kill her ex‑convict husband, Michael Dippolito, in Boynton Beach, Florida, in 2009. The alleged crime was staged to resemble a murder, complete with yellow tape and a police presence, and turned into a nationally televised spectacle when a Cops crew recorded the scene. An undercover detective, posing as a hit man, met with Dippolito to discuss the plot while the police team planned the staged execution. The resulting footage sparked a media frenzy, raising questions about the authenticity of the crime and involving allegations of illicit drugs, sex‑for‑hire, and a cuckolded former con man. Prosecutor Elizabeth Parker and crime writer Mark Ebner detail the case’s twists, courtroom manoeuvres, and exclusive photographic evidence, culminating in Dippolito’s 20‑year state‑prison sentence.
