Books like Sadly ever after? by Elise Allen

In a world where Emotions are personified and housed in a floating Headquarters, Sadness has always carried the burden of life’s troubles. Her power to make others feel sorrow is immense, yet it isolates her from the rest of the group. Determined to change her fate, her friends—Fear, Anger, and others—imagine a plot to make Sadness feel something different. They plan to revisit Riley’s most treasured memories, hoping that joy can overwrite sadness. As the Emotions navigate this emotional heist, Sadness confronts her own identity and the possibility of release. The story explores feelings of fear, anger, aversion, and ultimately the quest for emotional balance and a hopeful conclusion. Through lighthearted, heartfelt scenes, readers are invited to reflect on how humor, nostalgia, and community can transform even the deepest despair into a chance for renewal.
