Books like Pet dad by Elanna Allen
When Plum wishes for a pet, her father’s firm "no pets" rule pushes her to seek an unconventional companion—a pet dad. This lovable, talk‑and‑treat based canine instantly becomes a source of joy, offering playful games, soothing tummy rubs, and gentle ear scratches.
Yet Plum’s eagerness to teach tricks—sit, fetch, chase—collides with the dog’s instinctive refusal, “NO,” whenever it’s time to learn. Determined, she perseveres, looking for creative ways to turn her playful training sessions into shared adventures instead of disagreements.
The story follows Plum’s inventive attempts to transform her uncooperative pet dad into the perfect companion, all while sidestepping the dreaded timeout and exploring what it means to be a true team in playtime and life.
