Books like Storm Warning by Dinah McCall

"Storm Warning" follows the escalating mystery surrounding a group of seventh‑grade classmates who disappeared from a graduation photograph at Montgomery Academy two decades ago. Ginny Shapiro, the sole survivor, barely recalls the event—until the past awakens by a single sound, a word, a voice from beyond the years. As her memories resurfacing threaten to reexpose a hidden truth, FBI agent Sullivan Dean, who has possessed the same photograpic evidence, realizes that time is running out. Driven by duty and his own loss, Dean must locate Ginny before another person falls victim to the same dangerous force that once claimed her friends. The novel interweaves psychological suspense and romantic tension within a contemporary setting, exploring themes of memory, trauma, and the unforeseen consequences of past actions. Through a blend of thriller pacing and emotional depth, readers are drawn into a tense race against time. Set against a backdrop of modern investigative work and the lingering shadows of a high‑school tragedy, "Storm Warning" captures the urgency of confronting buried sins and the risk of those who uncover them.
