Books like Reality+ by David J. Chalmers

In Reality+, David J. Chalmers presents a rigorous technophilosophical investigation into the nature of reality as we see it through virtual worlds. He argues that virtual realities are authentic extensions of our experience, not merely supplementary or hypothetical domains. Chalmers examines long‑standing philosophical questions—such as the existence of an external world, the mind‑body relationship, the possibility of a good life, and the question of a deity—through the lens of immersive technology. Throughout the book he offers a tour of contemporary philosophical and scientific ideas, supplementing his analysis with illustrative diagrams that make abstract concepts tangible. Reality+ is a thoughtful, forward‑looking contribution that invites readers to reconsider the boundaries between technology, perception, and existence.
