Books like Emma's not-so-sweet dilemma by Coco Simon

Emma’s belief in her modeling career is shaken when her brother’s errant football skims her nose, causing a swelling injury that forces her to miss an important job at the Special Day salon. The salon’s manager, Mona, fills the vacancy with the enigmatic Olivia Allen, who delights in spreading gossip about Emma and seizes the opportunity to showcase her own talents. The injury also leaves Emma without the funds to purchase the heartfelt gifts she had envisioned for her family and friends for the holidays. Fortunately, Emma’s loyal mates from the Cupcake Club offer support, reminding her—and readers—that the truest gifts are those given from the heart and carry no price tag. Set against the backdrop of a juvenile fiction world full of friendship, friendship wounds, gifts, model glamour, cupcakes, and a sparkle of fashion on a warm winter day, the story follows Emma’s emotional journey toward resilience.
