Books like Rumor has it by Cindi Myers

Taylor Reed has spent a decade of her life buried under the whispers that swirl around Cedar Creek. The rumors of her secret with Dylan Gates have become the town’s hottest gossip, yet no details have ever truly surfaced. Now, tired of the gossip’s hold, Taylor is preparing to leave Cedar Creek for new horizons— but only after she gives the townsfolk a story that will finally give them something genuine to talk about. Dylan’s longing to make the rumors true leads them into a steamy romance that pushes both the bounds of their desire and the limits of the small-town reality surrounding them. This tension between passion, secrecy, and the desire to prove themselves keeps the narrative in perpetual heat as Taylor must decide whether her affair will remain just a rumor or become something much more lasting.
