Books like Scent of Darkness by Christina Dodd

Christina Dodd’s *Scent of Darkness* launches the Darkness Chosen series with a modern tale of love, transformation, and supernatural menace. Set in the present day, the story follows Plain Ann Smith, who finds herself drawn to the enigmatic, attractive boss Jasha Wilder. When Ann’s attempt to seduce Jasha goes awry, he reveals a shocking secret: he can shift into a powerful wolf‑shaped predator. The revelation sparks a dangerous realization—Jasha is a direct descendant of the brutal Russian warrior Konstantine, who sold his soul and that of his lineage to the devil in exchange for supernatural powers. A prophecy threatens the family, declaring that one of them will either battle the darkness or succumb to damnation. Ann is fated to break the curse that binds Jasha’s soul, and their intensely charged, forbidden connection may be the only hope to topple the ancient evil that has lurked unseen in the modern world. The novel blends romance, mystery, and supernatural elements into an uneasy alliance where love could be the decisive weapon against darkness. Fans of romance and contemporary fantasy will find a captivating plot of destiny, power, and intimacy whether they seek an adventure of love or a battle against a shadowy, otherworldly threat.
