Books like The labyrinth index by Charles Stross

The arrival of vast, alien intelligences that surpass human comprehension moves the world into a new era of darkness and disorder. In the United Kingdom, the dreadful elder god Nyarlathotep is promoted to Prime Minister, turning ordinary politics into a cosmic struggle. Mhari Murphy, a recent peer in the House of Lords and chair of the Lords Select Committee on Sanguinary Affairs, is summoned by the Creeping Chaos to organize a team of former Laundry personnel. Their mission: travel across the United States, where a thousand‑mile storm blocks the Midwest, the President has vanished, and the populace has begun to forget that an executive branch ever existed. American lawmakers are infiltrated by the secretive Black Chamber, while the Pentagon and NASA have redirected their resources toward summoning Cthulhu. As the Secret Service fights to keep the President conscious, a vampiric dragnet hunts him through the shadowed corridors of power. The stakes are total, as humanity teeters between the grasp of ancient horror and the uncertain promise of a new political order.
