Books like One hundred names by Cecelia Ahern

Kitty Logan, a woman television journalist, is forced to confront her career’s downfall when a scandal hits her publicized career. A second blow comes when her mentor, Constance, slips into the dying stage. When Kitty sits at Constance’s bedside, the ageing woman gifts a sheet of paper, an ominous list of one hundred names, with no explanation. Kitty realizes that her mentor had a story she never got to write—an investigation into the lives of ordinary people who – as Kitty discovers – each share a common thread. Armed with her journalistic skills and determination, Kitty embarks on a mission to find each of the names on the list. Each person she encounters adds a new layer to her mentorship’s hidden past, helping Kitty rebuild her confidence and understanding of her own life. Through this search, Kitty learns about friendship, the things that bind people together, and the power of telling stories.
