When Quentin Draith wakes in a private sanatorium, he has no memory of his identity or the injuries that plague his body. With drugs pulsing through his bloodstream, he must escape the facility to re-enter the real world and find answers. Quentin’s first question is why his friend Tony’s organs filled with sand, killing him in a Las Vegas car crash. After a narrow escape, he discovers he is an investigator and blogger who specializes in the supernatural—a specialty that proves useful as his life becomes increasingly bizarre. He is also a prime suspect in a string of murders connected by seemingly mundane objects. As the investigation deepens, Quentin realizes some truths are better left buried, and the stakes grow higher. The story blends supernatural thriller with action, set against the backdrop of Las Vegas and featuring extraterrestrial beings and mysterious anomalies of space and time.
