Books like The prophet by Amanda Stevens

Amelia Gray is Charleston’s famed cemetery restorer, known as the Graveyard Queen, who can see ghosts. Guided by four rules passed down from her father—rules she has often ignored—she finds herself drawn back into the supernatural when the spirit of a murdered police officer begs her help to identify his killer. The investigation takes Amelia through the city’s haunted roots, where witchcraft, root doctors, and black magic still thrive. Amidst this danger, she encounters John Devlin, a haunted detective she cannot ignore, forcing her to decide whether to defend the rules that keep her safe or follow her heart. The novel blends romance, paranormal intrigue, and a touch of Charleston history to explore themes of good versus evil, the burden of responsibility, and the power of love in a world where the living and the dead are ever intertwined.
